Apple is reportedly testing a new Safari feature called “Organize Tabs” that may automatically group open tabs by topic in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27.
The feature is expected to improve Safari’s current Tab Groups system and could be shown at WWDC 2026, which will take place from June 8 to June 12, 2026.
According to reports, the new feature may allow Safari to sort and group tabs automatically without users doing it manually. Users will still be able to organize tabs themselves if they want. The system is said to use AI technology, but it may not be launched under the Apple Intelligence branding.

Apple’s software plans for 2026 are also expected to focus on more AI features, interface improvements, and updates across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro devices. Separate reports also suggest that visionOS 27 will mainly focus on better stability, improved performance, and bringing newer AI and editing tools to the Vision Pro platform.
The Safari update is important because many users often keep a large number of tabs open for work, shopping, or research. If Apple launches this feature, it could make tab management much easier by automatically grouping related pages into topic-based sections.
