Samsung has started sending out its new One UI 8.5 software update to Galaxy S25 series phones all over the world. This includes the United States, India, and many other places. The update has build numbers like S938USQU9CZDP and S938UOYN9CZDP.
It is about 4.4GB big and comes with the April 2026 security patch to keep phones safe. It first came out in South Korea last week. Now, users in India and the US are sharing on X that they can download it on Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.

This update brings top Galaxy AI features to these S25 phones. These tools were only on Galaxy S26 phones before. People now have Call Screening for better call handling, Agentic AI to help on its own, Creative Studio for easy edits, endless AI image making, a stronger Audio Eraser for sound fixes, and smarter Bixby with natural talk and web search. The update went through beta tests first. It will reach Canada, China, UK, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, France, Indonesia, Philippines, and Netherlands soon.
Samsung will give One UI 8.5 to more Galaxy devices right after S25 series. In South Korea, it is already on Galaxy Z TriFold, S24 series, Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, plus Tab S11 and Tab S10 tablets. Global rollout comes next for them. Galaxy S23 series and Fan Edition phones are lined up too, so older top phones get the new AI tools and fixes.

One UI 8.5 adds simple everyday helps for Samsung phones and tablets. The Quick Panel lets users move, add, or remove toggles, widgets, and cards by drag or delete. Lockscreen wallpaper fits better on its own.
New stuff includes Auracast Bluetooth sharing, better Weather app and home screen, a pause button for Auto Blocker, more battery save in power mode, screen record just part of display, DeX that remembers window sizes, and Quick Share like AirDrop for fast file sends between devices.
