Bajaj Auto sold 1,97,417 bikes and scooters in India during April 2026, which is 9.87 percent more than the 1,79,676 units they sold in April 2025. This means they sold 17,741 extra units compared to last year.
Growth happened mainly because people really wanted to buy Pulsar bikes and the Chetak electric scooter. Avenger and Dominar bikes also sold well, but Platina, CT, and Freedom models sold less. Even though April was better than last year, sales were still lower than the 2,06,663 units sold in March 2026.
The Pulsar range was Bajaj's top seller with 1,31,031 units sold in April 2026, up 5.66 percent from the 1,24,012 units sold in April 2025. Pulsar alone made up 66.37 percent of all Bajaj's domestic sales that month. When looking at engine sizes, the 111-125cc Pulsar bikes sold the most at 71,350 units, but this was 9.91 percent lower than last year. Pulsar bikes with 126-150cc engines fell by 20.20 percent, selling only 11,992 units.
However, bigger engine Pulsar bikes sold much better. The 151-200cc Pulsar range sold 36,198 units, which is 45.55 percent more than the 24,870 units sold a year ago. The 201-250cc Pulsar bikes more than doubled their sales with a 138.50 percent increase to 10,494 units. Bajaj also sold 997 units of their new 250-350cc Pulsar models in April.

The Chetak electric scooter had very strong sales, jumping 78.52 percent to 34,304 units compared to 19,216 units in April 2025. The Chetak now makes up 17.38 percent of Bajaj's domestic sales, making it the second biggest seller after Pulsar. But Platina sales fell 16.68 percent to 24,737 units from 29,689 units last year. CT sales dropped 6.00 percent to 3,711 units, and Freedom CNG motorcycle sales fell 35.15 percent to just 644 units.
Both Avenger and Dominar premium bikes had good growth. Avenger sales went up 72.16 percent to 1,756 units from 1,020 units in April 2025. Dominar sales increased 54.64 percent to 1,234 units compared to 798 units a year ago. Out of these Dominar sales, 416 units were from the 201-250cc category and 818 units came from the new 250-350cc Dominar range.
April 2026 shows that Bajaj is getting stronger in premium motorcycles and electric scooters. Bikes for everyday budget riders such as Platina, CT, and Freedom are seeing lower sales, while Pulsar, Chetak, Avenger, and Dominar are the main reasons Bajaj is growing in India.
