Vivo X Fold 6 Leaks Reveal Major Upgrade with Dimensity 9500, 200MP Camera and Bigger Battery

Vivo X Fold 6 is getting a lot of attention in the smartphone world because leaks have revealed some exciting changes for this upcoming foldable phone.

Recent reports from trusted tipsters say that the phone will use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip that earlier rumors suggested. This is a new change for Vivo’s X Fold series, which has used Snapdragon processors in earlier models like the X Fold 5, launched last July with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The design of the phone also brings clear updates compared to the previous model. It has a flat main display with more rounded corners instead of curved edges, and it also has a large circular camera module on the back. A fingerprint scanner placed on the side gives it a modern look.

For cameras, the Vivo X Fold 6 improves a lot with a triple rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel main camera for very sharp and detailed photos. It also has a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that supports 3x optical zoom. This is a major upgrade from the Vivo X Fold 5, which used three 50-megapixel sensors for its rear cameras.

The display setup includes an 8.02-inch inner UTG screen with 2K resolution for a smooth and immersive experience when the phone is unfolded. It also has a 6.51-inch outer screen for normal daily use. Both front selfie cameras are expected to be 20 megapixels, one on each screen.

The battery is also expected to be strong, with a 7,000mAh capacity, though the actual typical value may be around 6,760mAh in a dual-cell setup. It also supports wireless charging and offers full water resistance for better durability.

The launch of the phone is expected to follow Vivo’s usual schedule, with a release in China possibly in June or July 2026, and then coming to markets like India around the same time. The previous X Fold 5 was launched in India last year at Rs 1,49,999 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version, so a similar high price is expected.

Some leaked details have differed, with early talks mentioning Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or even Snapdragon 8 Elite, but the latest information from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo confirms the move to MediaTek after testing a prototype. These leaks also suggest major upgrades in camera and battery to compete in the foldable phone market.
