Vivo X Fold 6 Leak Shows Atomic Workbench: Five-App Multitasking and Gesture Controls Coming This June

Vivo will launch its new book-style foldable phone, the X Fold 6, in China this June. A recent leak shows a big new feature called Atomic Workbench, which is built only for foldable screens.

This feature will come inside Vivo’s custom user interface for foldables, called OriginOS 6 Fold. The system is made to run many apps at the same time without them slowing each down or breaking, and it adds multi-window support plus easy touch controls.

The leak shows three multitasking modes. The first is serial mode, which can run up to five apps together.

The app you are using gets more screen space, while the other apps stay open in the background and ready to use. This is better than the old four-app mode on the X Fold 5 and makes it easier to work on a document, check messages, and watch a video at the same time.

The second mode is one-screen four-use, where four apps sit on the inner display and you can resize or move them however you want. The third mode is parallel mode, where apps run independently so one app’s action does not mess up another app, which is great for heavy work tasks.

The video also shows easy gesture controls. In the four-app mode, you can drag a small corner marker to change how much space each app gets. A four-finger swipe on a window instantly makes that window bigger.

These touch moves reduce the need to tap small buttons and make the large foldable screen feel more like a tiny tablet. All of this shows Vivo is trying to make foldables useful for real work, not just as flashy gadgets.

On the hardware side, the X Fold 6 is expected to use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, not a Snapdragon chip, which is a big change for Vivo’s top foldable. For cameras, leaks say it will have a 200-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.

ome reports say there will also be a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, making it a complete three-camera system. The battery is expected to be very large, either 7,000mAh or around 6,900mAh, which is huge for a foldable and will help during heavy multitasking.

Vivo has confirmed the X Fold 6 will launch in China in June, following the same timeline as the X Fold 5, but official specs and price are not yet shared. The phone will focus on productivity software and AI features, with Atomic Workbench as the main highlight.

If the leak is correct, the X Fold 6 could be one of the first foldables to truly support five-app multitasking on one screen, with smooth gestures that make managing apps simple. More details will come closer to launch, but this leak already shows where Vivo wants to take foldable productivity.
