Samsung is giving its older Galaxy S25 phone new smart features that were first seen on the newer Galaxy S26. A fresh One UI 8.5 update started arriving for Galaxy S25 users in South Korea on June 11, 2026, and it adds AI tools that were missing before.

The update’s build number is S938NKSUACZF1, and it is bigger than a normal monthly security update because it brings new features along with the June 2026 Android security patch. These tools were launched with the Galaxy S26 but were not included in the first One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25.

The update adds three new Galaxy AI features that make handling alerts and documents easier. First, Prioritize Notifications uses AI to pull the most important alerts to the top so you see key messages right away.
Second, Summarize Notifications reads many alerts and gives you a short summary, which saves you from scrolling through long lists of notifications one by one. Third, File Summaries can open supported files on your phone and create brief summaries of what they say; right now it works with PDF and TXT files.
Samsung has not said yet when this update will come to countries outside South Korea, but it is expected to reach India, Europe, and North America after the first rollout finishes . If you own a Galaxy S25, you can check for the update by opening Settings, choosing Software Update, and then tapping Download and Install.
With this update, the Galaxy S25 now gets the same AI tools for notifications and documents that were earlier only on the Galaxy S26, finishing the plan to give both series the same features.
