Broadside builds the standard X embed — a blockquote plus X's own widget script — from any public post link. The same markup covers text posts, image posts, and video posts, since X's script renders whatever media the post actually contains.

How to use it
- Paste the public link to an X post (from the "Share" → "Copy link" option).
- Pick a theme, alignment, and width to match your page.
- Tap "Generate embed code," then "Preview" to see it rendered.

Frequently asked questions
Does this work for a post from a private or protected account?
No. Only posts from public accounts can be embedded — X's widget script won't render content from a protected account for people who don't follow it.
Why is the preview blank or shows a plain link instead of the post?
The preview loads X's own widget script live, so it needs an active connection to platform.x.com. If a page's security settings block that script, the code will still render correctly once pasted onto a live site.
Do I need the script tag more than once on a page?
No — if you're embedding several posts on the same page, the widget script only needs to appear once. Extra copies are harmless but removable.
Does "Hide link preview cards" hide the video or photo in the post?
No. That option only hides the small link-preview card X sometimes adds for outside URLs mentioned in a post — native photos and videos attached to the post itself still display.
Will the embed stay up to date if the post is edited or deleted?
Yes. The embed always pulls the current version of the post directly from X — this tool only generates the pointer to it, not a copy of the content.
