Xiaomi’s Redmi has introduced the K Pad 2 in China. It is a small but powerful tablet made for gamers and everyday users who want high performance in a compact size. It was launched on April 21 along with other devices like the K90 Max.
This tablet has an 8.8-inch screen and stands out because of its fast refresh rate and strong processor. It is designed to give smooth gaming and easy multitasking without feeling heavy or bulky.
The main power of the Redmi K Pad 2 comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. It is built using a 3nm process and has an octa-core setup with speeds up to 4.21GHz. It also includes a Mali G1-Ultra GPU and MediaTek 990 NPU, which help with graphics and AI tasks.
The tablet offers up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. This combination allows it to handle heavy apps, video editing, and games very easily. It also has a large 15,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system to prevent overheating during long usage.
The tablet features an 8.8-inch 3K LCD display with a resolution of 3,008 x 1,880 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate for very smooth visuals and can reach up to 1,100 nits brightness, making it easy to use outdoors.

It also has an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.28 aperture for selfies and video calls. The audio system is enhanced with Bose-tuned speakers that have four voice coils in a symmetrical dual setup. The device is powered by a 9,100mAh battery. It supports 67W fast wired charging for quick charging and also offers 22.5W reverse charging to charge other devices. For connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and two USB Type-C ports—one supports USB 3.2 Gen1 speed and the other supports USB 2.0.
