OnePlus Watch 4 Leaks Reveal Bright Display, Long Battery Life, and Premium Design

OnePlus is quietly preparing to launch the OnePlus Watch 4. Leaks about its official listing and retail box have already shared many details about this new smartwatch. It is expected to have a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits.

This means the screen should be very easy to see even in bright sunlight. The watch will come in a 47 mm titanium-alloy body and use a fluororubber strap. It will be available in colours like Evergreen Titanium and Midnight Titanium, giving it a premium and sporty look.

Inside, the OnePlus Watch 4 will use the Snapdragon Wear W5 Gen 1 chipset. This chip is made to give good performance while also saving battery in smartwatches. The watch will have 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, which is enough for apps, watch faces, and small files like offline music and workout data.

For connectivity, it includes Bluetooth 5.2 with about a 10-metre range. It also supports dual-band GNSS systems like GPS, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS, which help in accurate location tracking during outdoor activities. In addition, the watch supports Wi-Fi and NFC, allowing faster app updates and features like contactless payments or access-card use.

On the software side, the OnePlus Watch 4 will run OxygenOS Watch 8, based on Wear OS 6 (or possibly Wear OS 5 according to some leaks). The design is expected to stay clean and simple, following OnePlus’s usual style. It will also work closely with Android phones, giving quick access to notifications, calls, and media.

The watch is expected to support voice assistants like Google Assistant and Gemini, so users can do tasks, set reminders, or get information just by speaking to the watch. This mix of Wear OS features and OnePlus customization could make it a good choice for both everyday users and fitness users who want a smooth experience.

Battery life and durability look strong. The OnePlus Watch 4 is expected to have a 646 mAh battery. It may last up to 16 days in power-saving mode, around five days in normal use, and about three days with heavy use that includes GPS, music, and notifications.

Charging the watch fully may take around 75 minutes, with a maximum charging power of 7.5 W, which is quite fast. The watch will also have IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with 5 ATM water resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification. This means it can handle sweat, rain, swimming, and rough daily use.

For health and fitness tracking, the OnePlus Watch 4 will include many sensors. These include an optical heart-rate sensor, a blood oxygen (SpO2) monitor, a wrist temperature sensor, an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometric pressure sensor, and a geomagnetic sensor. With these, the watch can track heart rate, oxygen levels, sleep stages, and activity intensity.

It can also send alerts if it detects unusual changes, like very high or low heart rate. There are features like reminders to move if you sit too long and a cycle-tracking feature for women’s health. The watch will support over 100 sports modes and can automatically detect six main activities such as running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing, and elliptical workouts. This makes it suitable for both serious fitness users and casual users.

In India, where OnePlus already has a strong presence, the Watch 4 is expected to launch globally, including in Europe, the UK, and some Asian markets. Internal testing has already been completed before launch. The company has not yet shared the price or exact launch date, but based on the specifications and leaks, it seems OnePlus is targeting the mid-to-premium segment.
