Xiaomi has launched two new phones in India Redmi A7 4G and Redmi A7 Pro 4G. These phones are made for budget users who want a reliable phone for daily use.
They went on sale on April 24, 2026, after being announced earlier in the week. Both phones offer smooth 120Hz displays, large batteries, and simple but useful features for everyday use.
The Redmi A7 4G comes in one version with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. Its price is Rs. 10,999 on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, and Rs. 10,499 on Xiaomi’s website. It has a 6.88-inch HD+ display with 720x1640 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling, and up to 600 nits brightness.
It also has wet touch technology, so it works even with slightly wet fingers. The phone runs on the Unisoc T7250 processor with LPDDR4X RAM, which is good for light daily tasks. It also supports virtual RAM and storage expansion up to 2TB using a microSD card. For photos, it has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, suitable for basic photography.

The Redmi A7 Pro 4G is a slightly upgraded version. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, expandable up to 2TB. It is priced at Rs. 11,999, or Rs. 11,499 on Xiaomi’s website. It features a larger 6.9-inch HD+ display with 720x1600 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and higher brightness of up to 800 nits, making it easier to see outdoors. It also includes TÜV eye protection and wet touch support.
This model runs on Android 16 with HyperOS 3 and will receive four years of Android updates and six years of security updates. In comparison, the base model runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2 and will get two years of updates and four years of security support.

Both phones use the same Unisoc T7250 processor and include features like a mono speaker, single microphone, and connectivity options such as 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, It includes FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack for earphones, and a USB Type-C charging port.
Battery performance is strong on both phones. The Pro model has a 6,300mAh battery, while the regular version has a 5,200mAh battery. Both support 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse charging.

They also come with an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, and e-compass. The Pro model measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.15mm and weighs 208g, while the standard model measures 171.79 x 79.77 x 8.26mm and weighs 193g. Colour options are Black and Sky Blue for the base model, and Black and Orange for the Pro model.
These phones are available on Xiaomi’s official website, Amazon, Flipkart, and offline retail stores across India. They are easy to buy for people looking for phones under Rs. 12,000. These models were launched one week after the Redmi A7 Pro 5G and are aimed at users who do not need 5G but want long battery life, durability, and affordable pricing.
