Google has launched the Fitbit Air, a new wearable device with a screenless pebble-like design. It is made for users who want distraction-free health tracking all day and night.
The Fitbit Air is priced at $99.99, around Rs 9,400. It was launched on Thursday and competes with devices like Whoop by focusing on comfort, lower pricing, and easy connection with the Google Health app.
The device works with Google Health Coach to provide health insights and personalized recommendations. Pre-orders started worldwide immediately after launch, while general sales will begin on May 26. Buyers also get a three-month trial of Google Health Premium for advanced coaching features.

The Fitbit Air does not have a display, helping users wear it comfortably during daily activities, workouts, and sleep without distractions. Health data is continuously sent to a connected smartphone running Android 11 or later, or iOS 16.4 and above.
The tracker supports 24/7 heart rate monitoring, AFib irregular rhythm alerts, blood oxygen or SpO2 tracking, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stage tracking, and total sleep duration. All data is processed into detailed reports inside the app.
For activity tracking, the device supports automatic workout detection for common exercises, manual activity logging, and guided sessions through Google Health Coach. This keeps the experience simple without too many notifications.
Battery life is one of the main highlights, offering up to one week of use with moderate usage. Fast charging support allows users to get one extra day of battery life with just five minutes of charging.

A special Stephen Curry Edition is also available for $129.99, around Rs 12,300. It comes with a rye brown and orange Performance Loop, a water-resistant coating, and a textured airflow design made for athletes. This version will also go on sale in the US on May 26.
