OnePlus has officially launched its new mid-range smartphones, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite, in India today. Both phones offer big batteries, smooth displays, and good cameras at affordable prices. They run on Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 for a clean and fast experience. Both are dual-SIM phones and will be sold through Amazon and the OnePlus India online store.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 starts at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version costs Rs 32,999. It comes in Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black colors. Buyers using HDFC Bank credit cards can get an instant discount of up to Rs 2,000. Sales begin tomorrow, May 8, at 12PM IST.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite is priced lower. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs 20,999. The 8GB RAM and 128GB version is priced at Rs 22,999, while the top 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs Rs 25,999. It is available in Hyper Black and Vivid Mint colors. The same HDFC Bank discount is also available. Sales start on May 12 at 12PM IST.

The Nord CE 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor with Adreno 810 GPU. It comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also features a large 33,147 square millimeter vapor chamber cooling system for better heat control during gaming and heavy use.
It has a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 1,272 x 2,772 pixels resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, 450ppi pixel density, full DCI-P3 color coverage, and a 3,200Hz touch sampling rate with a dedicated chip. It is protected by Crystal Guard glass and comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Nord CE 6 Lite uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex octa-core processor with ARM Mali-G615 GPU. It offers the same RAM and storage options and includes a 21,683 square millimeter cooling area.
The Lite model features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It supports up to 1,000 nits brightness, 392ppi pixel density, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 91.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance along with MIL-STD-810H durability certification.
Both phones are around 8.5mm thick. The Nord CE 6 measures 162.5 x 77.5 x 8.5mm and weighs 215g. The Nord CE 6 Lite measures 166 x 76 x 8.5mm and weighs 208g.For cameras, both phones have a dual rear camera setup. The main camera is a 50-megapixel f/1.8 sensor using the 1/2.88-inch OmniVision OV50D40 sensor. It is paired with a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor with an 89-degree field of view and support for 10x digital zoom. Both phones can record videos up to 4K at 30fps.

On the front, the Nord CE 6 has a 32-megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera. The Nord CE 6 Lite comes with an 8-megapixel f/2.0 front camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery performance is one of the biggest highlights. The Nord CE 6 packs a massive 8,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging for charging other devices. The Nord CE 6 Lite comes with a 7,000mAh battery, 45W fast charging, and 10W reverse charging support.
Both phones support 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS navigation systems. Security features include a fingerprint scanner along with sensors like accelerometer, e-compass, gyroscope, ambient light, and proximity sensor.
The Nord CE 6 series arrives as competition grows in India’s mid-range smartphone market. OnePlus is targeting students, professionals, and gamers who want strong battery life, fast charging, and durable designs at lower prices. The Nord CE 6 also introduces a new square-shaped camera module design instead of the older pill-shaped layout. With sales beginning this week, popular variants may sell out quickly.
