JioCarSync Launches in India to Bring Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Under Rs 2500

JioThings, the IoT division of Jio Platforms, has launched a new device called JioCarSync in India. This small gadget makes wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly in cars.

Drivers can use navigation, music, calls, and voice commands without connecting cables. The device is priced at Rs 2,399 and is now available on Amazon with a one-year warranty.

JioCarSync works with a simple plug-and-play setup. Users only need to connect it to the car’s USB port. It supports both USB Type-A and Type-C, and a Type-C dongle comes inside the box. After pairing with a smartphone once, it reconnects automatically in around five seconds whenever the car starts. This removes the need for pairing again and again.

The device uses Bluetooth 5.3 and 5GHz Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity. It also keeps all original car controls working normally, including steering wheel buttons, touchscreen controls, and the built-in microphone.

JioCarSync supports Siri on iPhones and Google Assistant on Android phones. It works with iPhones running iOS 12 or newer and Android phones with Android 11 or above. Jio has also added over-the-air software updates, allowing the device to receive new features and improvements automatically.

The gadget weighs only 20 grams and comes with a durable polycarbonate body. Its small size helps users place it easily inside the car without taking extra space.

The launch comes at a good time for car owners who want to avoid using wires while driving. JioCarSync also supports surround sound audio and works smoothly with calling and entertainment apps. However, it only works in cars that already have factory-fitted wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto systems. It upgrades existing systems instead of adding these features to older cars.

The device is already available for purchase on Amazon, and Jio believes it will attract users looking for a cleaner and safer driving experience.
