This listing shows the phone will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip instead of the different chip used in the Chinese version. The device also comes with 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 16, likely with Oppo’s own ColorOS 16 software layered on top.
The tested phone, with model number CPH2865, has an eight-core processor built with ARMv8 architecture. Its core setup includes one fast core at 2.80GHz, three cores at 2.40GHz, and four slower cores at 1.84GHz, which matches exactly how the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is designed. This same chip is already used in phones like the Motorola Edge 70, Vivo T4 Pro, and Realme 15 Pro.
In the Geekbench 6.7.1 test for Android, the Oppo Reno 16 scored 1,240 points in the single-core test and 3,994 points in the multi-core test. These numbers are very close to the Motorola Edge 70, which got 1,296 single-core and 3,919 multi-core points using the same chip. The phone also uses an Adreno 722 GPU for graphics, which helps with smooth gaming and video playback.
The Chinese version of the Reno 16 launched on May 25, 2026, but Oppo has not yet announced when the India version will arrive. Most reports now say the global and Indian models will come out in July 2026. Early price guesses suggest the Oppo Reno 16 in India could start between ₹35,000 and ₹40,000, while the Pro version may cost around ₹50,000 or more.
This Geekbench listing confirms important details about the India version before its official launch, including the switch to the Snapdragon chip, the 12GB RAM, and Android 16. It also shows Oppo is preparing the phone for global markets after seeing certification approvals from BIS, TUV SUD, and TDRA, which usually happen just before a worldwide release.
