Samsung is ready to launch three new foldable phones in India, and the proof is now out. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra have all been added to India's Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification list.

This step means Samsung has passed a key rule needed to sell these phones in India. The company got this certification between June 4 and June 9, 2026, which means the launch will happen soon.
A tech blogger named Anvin found all three phones on the BIS site and shared their model numbers. The Z Flip 8 has model numbers SM-A857B and SM-F776B. The Z Fold 8 Wide has SM-D642B and SM-F971B. The Z Fold 8 Ultra has SM-D647B and SM-F976B. The BIS list does not tell us about screen size, camera, or battery, but getting this cert usually means a phone will launch in India in the next few weeks.

The name Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is real, not just a rumor. It showed up earlier in the Bluetooth SIG database too. This database said the phone will have a 5,000mAh battery and will be very thin only 4.1mm when opened up. The Z Fold 8 Ultra will be the most expensive foldable from Samsung in 2026, with the best features for people who want top power.
All signs point to one big launch event. Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event will take place on July 22 in London. At this event, Samsung will likely launch all three phones: Z Fold 8 Wide, Z Flip 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra. New Galaxy smartwatches might also come out at the same event. This matches many reports that say all three foldables will launch in late July.

The Z Flip 8 might be special for Samsung. Some reports say it could be the last flip-style foldable Samsung makes. After this phone, Samsung may focus more on book-style foldables like the Z Fold series. This will change how Samsung designs foldable phones in the future. The Z Flip 8 will still replace the Z Flip 7 as the next phone in that line.
Leaks about the Z Fold 8 Wide say it will have two cameras on the back and a new color that Samsung has not used before. The phone will have a smaller outer screen of about 5.4 inches and a bigger inner screen of about 7.6 inches. This makes it smaller and easier to carry than Samsung's tri-fold plans.

Indian buyers who want foldable phones will soon have three choices. The Z Fold 8 Wide will be balanced, the Z Flip 8 will be stylish and small, and the Z Fold 8 Ultra will be the thinnest and most powerful. Prices will be high since foldables are premium phones, but the Z Flip 8 may cost less than the other two. After India launches, these phones will go to other countries soon.
