How precise are the conversions?
Gauge uses the standard internationally defined conversion factors for each unit (for example, exactly 25.4 millimeters to an inch), so results are as precise as the display allows rather than rounded approximations.
Why is temperature handled differently from length and weight?
Length and weight units convert by a simple multiplier, but Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin have different zero points, so temperature conversion uses the proper formulas for each pair instead of a single scaling factor.
Does Gauge round the results?
Very large or very small results are shown with a sensible number of decimal places so they stay readable, but the underlying calculation itself is done at full precision.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Every conversion is plain arithmetic done locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server or stored once you leave the page.
