Google’s new Tensor G6 chip, expected in the Pixel 11 series, is said to be much better than last year’s Tensor G5. It is built using a more advanced 2nm-class process and has a new seven-core CPU with higher speeds.
This could make the Pixel 11 faster in daily use and AI tasks. Google is also working on improving heat control and battery life, as earlier Pixel phones had issues with overheating and short battery performance.
The Tensor G6 has a redesigned CPU setup, changing from the older eight-core design. It may include one powerful core at about 4.11 GHz, four performance cores at around 3.38 GHz, and two efficiency cores at 2.65 GHz. This design focuses on better single-core and multi-core performance. It should help with tasks like opening apps, multitasking, and AI features such as live translation and photo editing. Compared to the Tensor G5’s older cores and lower speeds, this new setup should give better real-world performance.

Google is also focusing a lot on efficiency and temperature control. Reports say overheating has been a major reason for Pixel returns, so the company wants to reduce heat and improve comfort. The smaller chip size and advanced manufacturing process should help use less power and produce less heat. If this works well, users may get longer battery life, smoother performance during heavy use, and fewer slowdowns caused by overheating.
The GPU in the Tensor G6 may bring mixed results. It is expected to use a PowerVR-based GPU instead of the one used in the Tensor G5. This may improve AI and media tasks, but gaming performance might not be as strong as other top chips like Adreno or Mali. The Pixel 11 should still handle games well, but users who want very high-performance gaming may wait for tests. However, AI and camera features like Night Sight, Magic Editor, and audio improvements are expected to become even better.
The Tensor G6 is likely to power all Pixel 11 models, including the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, expected in 2026. Leaks suggest features like 12 GB RAM, at least 128 GB storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. The Pixel 11 may also have a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a high refresh rate and a MediaTek modem for better connectivity. These upgrades, along with the new chip, could make the phones faster and more efficient than the Pixel 10 series.

In daily use, the improvements should be noticeable. Apps may open faster, multitasking should feel smoother, and browsing will be quicker. Camera and AI features could process faster, giving better photos, improved zoom, and stronger low-light results. Battery life may also improve if heating is controlled well.
For buyers, especially in markets like India, this series will show if Google can balance performance, heat, and battery properly. If everything works as expected, the Pixel 11 could offer strong AI features, good battery life, and smooth performance at a competitive premium price, though final results will depend on real-world testing.
