A new leak has appeared showing a dummy unit of the iPhone 18 Pro Max. This gives a clear idea of how Apple’s next flagship phone might look when it launches later this year.

Tech YouTuber Vadim Yuryev from Max Tech shared these images on X, comparing the dummy with the iPhone 17 Pro Max side by side. The comparison shows small but noticeable changes. The overall design is similar to earlier Pro models, with the same sleek rectangular camera bump, but it is slightly wider and taller on the back.
The most noticeable change in these dummy images is the rear camera setup. It still has a triple-lens design, but the lenses look bigger and stick out more than before. This may help improve photo and video quality, especially in low light.

The camera area also still includes the LiDAR scanner, LED flash, and an extra microphone on one side, just like the current model. Apple has not confirmed any of this, but the leak matches earlier rumors about camera upgrades in the iPhone 18 series.
The sides of the phone look mostly the same. The power button and the new Camera Control button are on the right side, while the volume buttons and Action Button are on the left. There are no major changes here. At the bottom, the USB Type-C port and speaker grills remain unchanged.
The back still has a circular MagSafe area in the center, surrounded by glass for wireless charging. All of this suggests that Apple is improving the existing design instead of completely changing it, making the iPhone 18 Pro Max feel like an upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, including the standard Pro model and possibly a new iPhone Ultra or foldable version, around September 2026. This follows Apple’s usual launch schedule, although nothing is official yet. There are also rumors about other upgrades, such as a new A20 chip built on a 2nm process for better performance, a bigger battery, and new color options like Deep Red or Purple. However, the dummy unit only shows the outer design.
These dummy units usually come from supply chain sources and are often close to the final product because companies use them to make cases and accessories months before launch. The iPhone 17 Pro Max was already praised for its redesign, bright display, powerful A19 Pro chip, and improved cameras.

However, some users complained about the aluminum frame getting scratched easily and the phone being heavy. If the iPhone 18 Pro Max keeps a premium feel while improving the camera design and adding more power, it could become one of the top high-end phones in late 2026.
In India, many buyers may be interested in the iPhone 18 Pro Max for its advanced photo and video features. At the same time, competitors like Vivo are also launching strong devices, such as the X300 Ultra expected in May. Leaks like this increase excitement, but Apple usually reveals the final details during its official launch event.
