Oppo Find X9 Ultra Teardown Reveals Powerful Design, Advanced Cameras, and Massive Battery

Oppo’s latest flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, is getting a lot of attention from the tech world. This is because a new internal teardown video shows how the company has fitted such powerful hardware into a slim body.

The teardown clearly shows the layout of the cameras, chipset, cooling system, and battery, helping users understand what they are paying for in this high-end camera-focused phone.

Inside the Find X9 Ultra, the first noticeable thing is the multi-layer motherboard design. Oppo has not used a single flat board but has stacked multiple PCB layers. This helps save space and manage heat better. The board has a large cutout in the center so the main camera modules can sit closer to the frame and cooling system.

This improves strength and also helps the phone handle and spread heat during long camera use or heavy gaming. On this board, there is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen-5 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage, all placed tightly to keep the phone slim without losing performance.

The camera system is the main highlight of the phone. The back camera module includes a Hasselblad-backed quad-camera system. It has two 200-megapixel sensors, where one is used for ultra-wide photos and the other for high-resolution normal photos. It also includes a 3x periscope telephoto lens and a 10x optical zoom module, which uses a special optical path to give true 10x zoom without making the camera too big.

There is also a Danxia secondary lens, which improves colours and skin tones. This is part of Oppo’s effort to make mobile photos look more like pictures from traditional cameras.

For heat management, the Find X9 Ultra uses an advanced cooling system. It has a large vapour chamber behind the frame, along with graphite layers and a phase-change material near the chipset. This setup helps control sudden temperature increases when recording 8K or 4K120 videos, playing heavy games, or using AI features.

Reviewers say the phone does get warm under heavy use, but it usually does not slow down due to heat, showing that the cooling system is effective. Thermal layers also cover the battery and camera areas to spread heat evenly and avoid hot spots while holding the phone.

The phone is powered by a 7,050 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is very large for a premium smartphone. It uses a dual-connector design that helps in stable charging and better battery life over time. The phone supports both wired and wireless charging, including 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, so the large battery can charge quickly. The USB-C port is made stronger with metal support and rubber seals to improve durability and maintain dust and water resistance even after frequent use.

For audio and daily use, the Find X9 Ultra is well designed. It has symmetrical top and bottom speakers with AAC full-cavity design, giving balanced stereo sound for videos and games. There are four microphones for better noise cancellation during calls and recording.

The phone also includes extra sensors like a multispectral sensor, a laser autofocus sensor, and an infrared transmitter, which help improve focusing speed and performance in low light or indoor conditions. These features show that Oppo is focusing not just on camera quality but also on reliability and speed in real use.

For durability, the teardown shows strong protection features. The phone includes waterproof membranes, rubber seals, and foam padding around important parts. It supports IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, meaning it can resist dust, water immersion, and even strong water jets.

This makes it suitable for outdoor use and travel. The back panel is made of a plastic base with an eco-leather-like coating, which improves grip and reduces slipping while keeping the phone lightweight. Inside, strong screws and brackets show that the phone is built for long-term use and easy servicing.
