Motorola is preparing to update its popular flip-style foldable phones with the Razr 2026 series. New leaks say that this time the lineup may feel a bit more premium than before.
Reports suggest that the Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026, Razr Ultra 2026, and a book-style Razr Fold 2026 could launch in many countries in the coming months. In North America, the Razr 2026 and Razr+ 2026 may launch on May 21, 2026. Prices may be slightly higher than the current Razr 60 series because of better processors, more RAM, and faster storage.
The Razr 2026 will likely be the base model. It will keep the flip (clamshell) design but come with improved hardware. It is expected to have a 6.9-inch AMOLED inner screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and brightness of around 3,000 nits, so content should look smooth and bright both indoors and outdoors.
It may use a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X (or similar), which is cheaper than top Snapdragon chips but still good for daily use, gaming, and multitasking. The phone is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and run Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI, giving the latest Android features.

The Razr+ 2026 will focus more on performance. It will also have a 6.9-inch AMOLED display but with a higher 165Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. It is expected to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which gives better performance than the Dimensity chip in the base model. It may come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, making apps load faster and multitasking smoother. Both phones are expected to have a 32MP front camera and two 50MP rear cameras (one main and one ultra-wide), useful for portraits, group photos, and wide shots.
Battery and charging will be slightly different. The Razr 2026 may have a 4,800mAh battery with 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, enough for a full day for most users. The Razr+ 2026 may have a smaller 4,500mAh battery but faster 45W charging, so it can charge quicker. Both phones are expected to support USB Type-C, Bluetooth, NFC, dual SIM (including eSIM), and Wi-Fi 6 on the Razr 2026 and Wi-Fi 7 on the Razr+ 2026. They may also have IP48 protection, meaning they can handle light dust and small water splashes but not full water exposure.
In terms of design, the Razr 2026 series will likely keep the same flip style. The width may be in the low 70mm range, about mid-80mm when folded, and over 170mm when opened. The Razr 2026 may weigh around 188 grams, and the Razr+ 2026 around 189 grams, making them light for foldable phones but still solid to hold.
Leaks of the Razr Ultra 2026 show more premium finishes and colors like Cocoa Wood and Orient Blue Alcantara, giving a more stylish look. The Razr Fold 2026, a book-style foldable, has already been shown at events like MWC 2026 and may come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, a 6,000mAh battery, and a large 6.6-inch outer display. It may cost about €1,999 in Europe (around ₹2,14,000).
For pricing, leaks suggest the Razr 2026 (8GB + 256GB) may start at $799.99 (around ₹74,400). The Razr+ 2026 (12GB + 256GB) may cost about $1,099.99 (around ₹1,02,300). The Razr Ultra 2026 could be around $1,499.99 (₹1,39,500) for 16GB + 512GB. The Razr Fold 2026 may go up to $1,899.99 (₹1,76,800). These prices are slightly higher than the Razr 60 series due to better hardware. In India, prices may vary because of taxes and duties, but the Razr 2026 may stay in the ₹70,000–₹80,000 range, the Razr+ 2026 and Ultra in ₹90,000–₹1,50,000, and the Fold model even higher.

From a user point of view, all these phones will run Android 16, which brings more AI features, better privacy, and improved performance. The faster screens and better processors should make gaming, multitasking, and streaming smoother than older models. The dual 50MP cameras should give better photos, and the 32MP front camera should be good for selfies and video calls on apps like WhatsApp.
Features like Wi-Fi 7 and wireless charging will be useful for users with fast internet and modern accessories. Overall, the Razr 2026 series looks like a good mix of style, performance, and everyday usability. The Razr 2026 is aimed at regular users, while the Razr+ 2026, Razr Ultra 2026, and Razr Fold 2026 are for people who want more power, storage, and a premium feel, while still enjoying the compact foldable design.
