The Redmi K100, which will come after last year’s Redmi K90, is getting attention because of new leaks about its battery and charging features. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station shared information on Weibo saying that the phone, internally called Athens, may come with a huge 8,500mAh battery.
This is much bigger than the 7,100mAh battery in the Redmi K90. Some recent reports also say that the K100 series is testing even bigger 10,000mAh batteries. Because of this, many people are calling these phones high-performance power devices.
The phone is expected to keep the same 100W wired fast charging as the Redmi K90. However, it may also add 50W wireless charging, which the K90 did not have. This would allow users to charge the phone quickly without using cables. The standard Redmi K100 may have a 6.6-inch display. Newer leaks also mention a possible 2K resolution and a larger 7-inch display for the Pro Max model, giving users sharper visuals and more screen space.

The Redmi K100 is expected to use Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. This should provide very fast performance and better efficiency. The Redmi K100 Pro Max may use the unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor.
It is also expected to come with 16GB LPDDR6 RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Because of these high-end specifications, the K100 series could become a strong competitor in the premium smartphone market. Rumors also suggest that the phones may launch in China in October 2026.
The K100 series may also bring major camera upgrades. Reports say the phones could include a 200-megapixel main camera and a new periscope telephoto lens for improved zoom photography.

This would be a big upgrade compared to the Redmi K90, which had a 50-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel telephoto camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 20-megapixel front camera. Other expected improvements include better haptics, improved audio quality, and a high-definition variant that is reportedly being developed.
The lineup is expected to include the Redmi K100, Redmi K100 Pro Max, and possibly more models. The Pro Max version may also launch globally under the name Poco F9 Ultra.
Prices are expected to increase compared to the Redmi K90 because of premium features like wireless charging and larger batteries. Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any details yet, but leaks from trusted sources continue to increase excitement before the expected launch later this year.
