Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Leak Shows Faster Performance, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and 45W Charging Upgrade

Samsung Galaxy A27 5G has appeared again on the Geekbench site, this time showing better performance scores that give a clearer idea of what people can expect from this upcoming mid-range phone.

The device, with model number SM-A276B, scored 994 in the single-core test and 2,985 in the multi-core test. These scores are clearly higher than its earlier Geekbench results, where it got 777 in single-core and 1,871 in multi-core.

This new benchmark also confirms that the phone will run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. It is an octa-core processor with four high-performance cores running at 2.40GHz and four efficiency cores running at 1.80GHz. The tested device had around 5.23GB of RAM, which will likely be sold as 6GB, and there may also be an 8GB RAM version for users who need more power. The phone was running Android 16 along with Samsung One UI.

According to rumors, the phone may have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and watching videos smooth. For cameras, it is expected to have three rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization for steady photos, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera for wider shots, and a 2-megapixel macro camera for close-up images. On the front, there may be a 12-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and photos.

The battery is expected to be 5,000mAh, which should give good battery life. A major improvement is the support for 45W fast charging, which is faster than the 25W charging on the previous model. Other features may include a hybrid microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB of extra storage, and sensors such as a light sensor, proximity sensor, compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer. Samsung has also hinted that the phone will support Samsung Wallet for easy payments.

The Galaxy A27 5G will come as the next version of the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G, which was launched in India in March 2025 starting at about Rs 24,999. That phone had the Exynos 1380 chip, IP67 water resistance, and up to six years of software updates. However, it was criticized for average camera performance, low brightness in outdoor use, and slower charging. The new model is expected to improve these areas with better performance and faster charging while still being reliable for everyday use.

There is no official launch date yet, but since the phone has appeared multiple times in leaks and listings like IMEI databases and Samsung pages, it may launch soon, possibly in the next few months. In India, the expected price could be between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000, making it a strong option in the budget 5G category against other brands like Moto and Realme. Users should watch for official announcements from Samsung for full details.
