Honor Magic 9 Series to Debut with AI Stylus – First Non-Foldable Honor Phone Ever to Support Pen Input

Honor is planning to launch its next big phone series soon, and this time it might include something new that people have been waiting for. The Honor Magic 9 series should come out in October 2026, and a trusted source says it will work with an official stylus pen.

This would make the Magic 9 the first regular (non-foldable) Honor phone that supports a digital pen, even though Honor's foldable phones already work with styluses. The stylus will not just be for drawing. It will have smart AI features and work with professional apps for work and creative tasks.

The Magic 9 series will likely have three phones: the normal Magic 9, the Magic 9 Pro, and the Magic 9 RSR. All three are expected to come with very large 8,000mAh batteries. This is a big increase from the Magic 8 series, which had batteries between 7,000mAh and 7,200mAh.

The basic Magic 9 model is expected to have a 6.36-inch OLED screen and will use a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This chip should give strong performance while using less power. The bigger battery means users can use their phones for much longer before needing to charge.

The camera will also get better. The Magic 9 series is expected to have a 200-megapixel main camera on the back, which is much higher than the 50-megapixel cameras on the Magic 8 phones.

Some leaks say the cameras might include special video features from ARRI for better video quality, along with better hardware image stabilization to keep videos steady. The Pro and RSR models may also have a 64MP telephoto camera and a 50MP wide camera along with the main one. All models should have a 50-megapixel front camera for clear selfies.

The regular Magic 9 will have 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Pro and RSR versions could have up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phones will run Android 16 with Honor's MagicOS system.

They should also be water and dust resistant with IP68 and IP69 ratings, plus have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and wireless charging. Honor launched the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro in October 2025 with the same processor but smaller batteries, so the Magic 9 is a clear upgrade in battery life and camera quality.

This stylus feature puts Honor alongside Samsung and Motorola, who already sell phones with pen support like the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Moto G Stylus 2026. If the leak is true, the Magic 9 series will be great for workers, students, and creators who need accurate input on their phones.

The October 2026 launch date gives buyers time to wait for the official announcement, and Honor will likely share more details about the stylus features and price closer to that time.
