AirDrop-like file sharing using Quick Share is improving a lot and is now available on phones like the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra.

This feature allows users to easily share photos, videos, and documents between Android phones and Apple devices like iPhones, iPads, and Macs without using extra apps or complex steps. Reports confirm that this feature is now active on these devices after recent updates, building on earlier support for Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra first showed this feature during its launch in China. After the latest update, it can now detect nearby Apple devices in the Quick Share menu. Users can send and receive files between Android and Apple devices smoothly if AirDrop on the Apple device is set to “Everyone” for about 10 minutes. The Vivo X300 Ultra also received this update quietly, showing that this feature is spreading quickly across different brands.

To use it, open the notification panel on the Oppo or Vivo phone, tap on Quick Share, and look for nearby Apple devices. A message will appear confirming AirDrop support along with simple instructions. The sharing works through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, making it secure and fast for daily use like sharing photos instantly. However, the speed may be slightly slower compared to sharing between the same type of devices, but it is still much better than using cloud services or cables.

This feature started earlier with Google’s Pixel 10 series and later expanded to older Pixel devices. Samsung added it to the Galaxy S26 series in March 2026 and later to Galaxy S25 models through updates. Oppo had already promised support for the Find X9 series, and now it is available on the Ultra model. Vivo also added it without much announcement, showing that more Android brands may adopt it soon.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra comes with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 7050mAh battery, and a quad-camera system with dual 200MP sensors. It also has a large 6.82-inch QHD+ display. The Vivo X300 Ultra offers similar power with the same processor, a 6600mAh battery, and a triple camera setup with 200MP Zeiss-tuned lenses, running on Android 16 with custom UI. Both phones focus heavily on camera performance, making easy file sharing very useful.

Experts believe Google is trying to make Quick Share a universal standard that works across Android and iOS devices. More brands are expected to add this feature soon, especially with future updates like Android 17 and One UI 9. There is no exact date for global rollout on Oppo and Vivo yet, but users of these phones can check for updates. This feature makes sharing files much easier for people using both Android and Apple devices.
