Both are made using a 4nm process and mainly bring small improvements in areas like connectivity, gaming, camera, and AI features. The hardware design is mostly the same in both chips, with only a few specific changes.

The Dimensity 7450 is made for normal Android phones, while the Dimensity 7450X is designed for foldable phones, especially flip-style ones. The 7450X is more special because it supports dual displays, which helps phones that have both an inner and outer screen work better together. Reports also suggest that Motorola may use this chip in upcoming foldable devices.

Both chipsets come with an octa-core CPU setup. They have four Arm Cortex-A78 cores running up to 2.6GHz for performance and four Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency. They are built on TSMC’s 4nm process and support modern features like 5G Release 17, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and download speeds of up to 3.27Gbps.

For cameras, the chips support up to 200-megapixel sensors and can record 4K video at 30fps. They also include features like face detection, noise reduction, HDR video, AI-based auto exposure, white balance adjustment, autofocus, and electronic image stabilization to improve photo and video quality.

In terms of performance and graphics, both use the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU and MediaTek’s sixth-generation NPU for AI tasks. They also support better gaming through HyperEngine and offer up to 7% improved AI performance compared to earlier models. Display support includes Full HD+ at 144Hz and WFHD+ at 120Hz, along with support for many navigation systems like GPS, NavIC, and others for accurate location tracking.
