Vivo X300 Ultra & FE India Launch: May 7 Reveal, Epic Cameras & Prices Revealed!

Vivo's gearing up to shake things up in India's high-end smartphone world next month. Tipster Yogesh Brar, pulling from a Smartprix report, says the company plans to unveil both the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 FE at one big event in India on May 7, 2026.

Open sales for these two should kick off exactly a week later, on May 14. Vivo hasn't put out any official word yet, but this leaked schedule matches those early clues pointing to early May for their India launch.

The real star here is the X300 Ultra. It first hit shelves in China on March 30, 2026, right alongside the X300s and Vivo Pad 6  a huge step for Vivo's camera game. Bringing it to India will be a first, since it's the very first Ultra model they're offering Indian buyers.

The phone rocks a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen that adapts its refresh rate from 1Hz to 144Hz, hitting a super-bright 3,500 nits at peak. Inside, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip runs the show, teamed with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, plus a special vapor cooling chamber to keep things cool under heavy use.

What really sets the X300 Ultra apart is its cameras. Vivo packed in the world's first dual 200-megapixel setup on the back a Sony LYT-901 main sensor paired with a Samsung HPB periscope telephoto lens, both tweaked with Zeiss tech. There's also a 50-megapixel ultrawide to round out the three rear lenses, and a 50-megapixel front cam for sharp selfies and calls. On top of that, Vivo rolled out two extra telephoto lens add-ons for it: an AG2 200mm one and a fresh 400mm version, which they showed off at MWC Barcelona this year.

Hook on the teleconverter, and you get up to 100x digital zoom, with the periscope itself handling 3.7x optical. Battery-wise, expect a 7,000mAh semi-solid-state unit with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless, plus IP68 and IP69 water/dust resistance. It runs Android 16 and comes in Film Green, Silver Tone, or Black at least that's the China lineup.

No official India price yet, but insiders guess it'll land between Rs. 1,20,999 and Rs. 1,30,999 totally unconfirmed. That puts it head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Oppo Find X9 Ultra coming soon.

Then there's the Vivo X300 FE, the smaller, more wallet-friendly choice in this duo. It popped up in Russia back in March 2026 as basically a renamed version of China's Vivo S50 Pro Mini.  The "FE" means Fashion Edition, thanks to its sleek, slim build with a horizontal camera strip that follows today's hot trends. It's just 7.99mm thick and weighs around 191 grams, finished in AG frosted glass.

A cool perk for the X300 FE is its camera add-ons. Sources told it'll work with the 200mm Zeiss Telephoto Extender Kit in India sold separately, of course. It clips onto the telephoto via a special case, boosting zoom by 2.35x for 200mm optical and up to 1600mm focal length. That's the same kit Vivo brought to India with the X300 and X300 Pro before, and offering it on this cheaper FE shows they're all-in on photography for the whole X300 family.

Powering it is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage in options up to 12GB RAM and 512GB space. The screen's a 6.31-inch AMOLED at 2640 x 1216 pixels with 120Hz refresh. Cameras on the back: 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main with OIS, 50-megapixel telephoto at 3x optical zoom, and 8-megapixel ultrawide.

Up front, another 50-megapixel shooter. Battery's 6,500mAh with 90W wired fast charging, 40W wireless, bypass charging, and better heat control. It uses OriginOS 6 on Android 16, and Vivo promises five years of OS upgrades plus seven years of security fixes.

For India colors, look for Black, Purple, and a fresh Green shade that's exclusive here swapping out the Moonlight White from Russia. Pricing should undercut the Vivo X300, which goes for about Rs. 75,000 now, so it'll be a solid high-end deal.

People are talking a lot about the May 7 launch event and May 14 sales start, so Vivo will probably begin teasing these phones very soon. The X300 Ultra hooks folks chasing top-tier cameras and power, while the FE grabs those wanting a pocket-friendly premium vibe. They land right as India's fancy phone scene gets even tougher.
