Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Leak Reveals Premium Design, Wooden Finish and Key Specs

Motorola is quietly working on a new upper mid-range phone series under its Edge-70 brand. A recent online leak shows a new phone called the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+, which has not been officially announced yet.

Early images and reports suggest that its design will be very similar to the upcoming Edge 70 Pro, but with some extra colour options and a slightly more premium finish.

Before launch, marketing and listings already show that Motorola sees the Edge-70 series as a full lineup. The Edge 70 will be the base model, the Edge 70 Pro will be a higher version, and the Edge 70 Pro+ is expected to be even better in features and price. The leaked images of the Pro+ were shared by well-known tipster Evan Blass on X, who has earlier revealed designs of Motorola, Google, and Samsung phones before their official launches.

According to these images, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ seems to have a curved display with a small hole in the center for the front camera. The back design looks like the Edge 70 Pro, with a square camera module placed at the top-left corner. Motorola is using this same design style across this series to keep a consistent look. The main difference is in colours: the phone is shown in five colours – white, blue, cyan-green, a “wooden” style, and maroon, but the official names of these colours are not confirmed yet.

The “wooden” version is getting special attention because it looks like it has a wood-like texture on the back. However, it is not confirmed whether this is real wood or just a printed design that looks like wood. If Motorola uses real wood or a similar material, it could make the Pro+ more appealing to users who care about design and feel, not just performance.

From the outside, the Edge 70 Pro+ is expected to have almost the same shape as the Edge 70 Pro. This includes thin side edges, a slightly curved display, and a flat frame that gives a modern look. The power and volume buttons will likely be on the right side. The bottom will have the SIM tray, USB-C port, and speaker grills. Motorola may also include MIL-STD-810H durability and IP68 water and dust resistance, similar to the Pro model.

Inside, the Edge 70 Pro+ is not expected to have big changes compared to the Pro model. The Edge 70 Pro already comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED 1.5K display and supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and gaming very smooth. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor built on a 4nm process, along with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB storage.

This setup should give strong performance for apps, multitasking, and gaming. The Pro+ may use the same hardware or have small upgrades like more RAM or storage, but there is no clear proof of a new processor yet.

For cameras, the Edge 70 Pro will have a 50MP Sony LYT-710 main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP front camera with autofocus. Early reports say the Pro+ will use the same camera setup. This means improvements may come through better software, low-light performance, and video features instead of adding more lenses. Motorola is also expected to keep features like Night Vision and Super Stable Video.

Battery and charging will also likely stay similar. The Edge 70 Pro has a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, which should easily last a full day even with heavy use. It also includes a 4,600 sq mm vapour-chamber cooling system to control heat during gaming or long usage. If the Pro+ uses the same battery, the differences may only be in charging speed tuning or battery software features.

For India, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is officially launching on April 22, 2026, and will be sold on Flipkart. It will come in Pantone colours like Pantone Tea, Pantone Titan, and Pantone Lily White. The leak of the Edge 70 Pro+ has come just before this launch, which suggests Motorola might be checking user interest and could launch the Pro+ later as a slightly more expensive option.

So far, Motorola has not shared official details about the Edge 70 Pro+ price, full specifications, or launch date. But leaks suggest it will mainly be a more stylish version of the Pro with extra colours and a refined design. If Motorola follows its usual pricing, the Pro+ may cost around ₹35,000–₹40,000, competing with similar phones from OnePlus, iQOO, and Vivo.
